Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated Medical Assistants to join our dynamic team!

JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant provides vital clinical and administrative support to deliver outstanding patient care. Responsibilities encompass welcoming patients, recording vital signs, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring meticulous record-keeping.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The core duties listed below exemplify the expectations of this role, though additional responsibilities may arise:

• Warmly greet patients upon their arrival in waiting areas, exam rooms, and treatment facilities.
• Maintain open communication with patients regarding wait times, guiding them through the treatment process.
• Address patient concerns and proactively identify and respond to urgent situations.
• Make follow-up calls promptly and effectively.
• Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures as needed.
• Accurately record patient vital signs, weight, short medical histories, and other relevant information.
• Assist with patient transfers and various procedures under the provider's supervision.
• Adhere to documentation protocols and ensure all patient visit records are complete.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members follow a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, featuring 12-hour weekday shifts and alternate weekends. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled based on need.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Willingness to obtain an AR Limited X-Ray License preferred
