About The Role

We are looking for a remote generalist senior backend engineer with experience in Java (and preferably Kotlin) to join our early team to build our product from zero to one. Your role will include projects working with other team members including building integrations into enterprise systems, scraping, contributing to systems that allow users to use LLMs to generate sales insights at scale, and processing & deriving insights from millions of public documents.

Qualifications

• Senior developer with Enterprise B2B SaaS experience or big?data processing experience in the JVM ecosystem, ideally Kotlin.
• Excited to roll up your sleeves and work in all parts of the backend, with experience in small teams and startups.
• Experience with the following stack:


• Kotlin (BE)
• GCP
• Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL
• Firebase
• Python




• Experience with some of the following (not required): Natural Language Generation, Enterprise API integrations, Prompt Engineering, Large?Scale Web Scraping & Parsing.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Interview Process

After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 20?minute phone interview during which a member of our team will ensure youre a good fit for the role. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the role.

We then send you a programming challenge that consists of two parts: LeetCode and SQL. Beyond that, youll enter the main process, which consists of three interviews:

• System design exercise (hands?on).
• Live coding in Java/Kotlin.
• Product thinking and discussion of past work.

Our goal is to finish the process within one week. All interviews are conducted via Google Meet.
