Machine Shop Operator II

We are Systems, LLC a leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. We continue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions; make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc, and (ii) perform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions; make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc
  • Perform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenance
  • Proficiently operate iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other equipment
  • Utilize inspection gauges such as dial calipers, protractors, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine appropriate operations to be performed
  • Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification
  • Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables to load/unload material
  • Route parts and components to the proper department or storage location
  • Label materials produced and scan shop orders within an ERP system
  • Efficiently prioritize workload and use of available resources with time constraints
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.


Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32"
  • Experience operating iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other related equipment preferred
