Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Assembler, you are expected to perform skilled fitting and/or mechanical or hydraulic type assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units using a variety of hand tools, power tools, or equipment, and perform in-depth inspection to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment or can demonstrate sufficient competence in area

  • Intermediate understanding of mechanical concepts/mechanical aptitude

  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit up

  • Ability to use hand to finger, handle, and feel

  • Ability to climb and balance

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl

  • Ability to reach with hands and arms

  • Ability to see, talk, and hear

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Do aligning, adjusting, and required secondary machining

  • Work from drawings and specifications and shop orders

  • Use required precision measuring instruments and gauging devices

  • Operate cranes and hoists or lift tables

  • Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel

  • Keep accurate production records/logs etc.

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group.
