This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification, and (ii) Route or deliver materials to correct storage or manufacturing locations.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification
Route or deliver materials to correct storage or manufacturing locations
Perform shipping/receiving function with regards to material handling; utilize loading dock equipment to ensure a safe loading and unloading process is completed
Check goods received to purchase orders or receiving slips, maintain records, and prepare receiving reports
Check quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials
Responsible for labeling, storing, and inventorying items
Process warranty items such as entering Returned Goods Authorizations into
database
Work with Purchasing and Inventory Control to facilitate accurate inventory levels and
necessary adjustments
Operate cranes and hoists
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
No minimum education required
2+ years shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Proficiency in loading all trailers, flat beds, and vans
Strong knowledge of all Systems' products
Basic proficiency in use of scanners and label printers
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, and sit up
Ability to use hand to finger, handle, and feel
Ability to climb and balance
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Ability to see, talk, and hear
